Pedro Quinteiro

Pedro Quinteiro

Pedro Marques Quinteiro is an Assistant Professor at ISPA – Instituto Universitário, and a Research Fellow at the William James Research Center. Pedro holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and Development from ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Currently, he develops applied research in the field of leadership and teamwork in extreme work contexts (e.g., security and relief; polar regions; space). His work has been published in top journals such as Group and Organization Management, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Leadership, and Small Group Research. He is currently involved in several research projects supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, the Portuguese Polar Program, and the European Space Agency. In this regard, he has already led two scientific expeditions to King George Island (Antarctica), and his investigation has received international media attention (e.g., Wall Street Journal; BBC News). Over the last decade, he has participated in consultancy projects in the field of performance assessment and the design and implementation of training programs.
