Sofia Kalakou

Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing, Operations and General Management at ISCTE and Director of the Industrial Management and Logistics degree programme. She teaches operations management in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses. Her research focuses on the planning and management of urban and air transport, the adoption and integration of technology in operations, the implementation of sustainable practices and the evaluation of operations performance. She coordinates 4 projects funded by the European Commission related to operations management and new technologies. She has a doctorate and a master's degree in Transport Systems, a diploma in Civil Engineering and previously worked as a transport and mobility consultant.
