Since 2018, he has been a member of Banco de Portugal's staff in the Prudential Supervision Department, where he is currently Coordinator of the Non-Financial Risks Unit. In this capacity, he is responsible for Banco de Portugal's supervisory activities in matters relating to innovation and technology, namely digitalisation and cybersecurity.
Previously, he worked as a management consultant in several countries, supporting banks of global systemic importance in projects at the intersection between the areas of risk management, compliance and information and communication technologies. He has a degree in Economics and Finance from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, is married and has two children.
