Nuno Barbosa Morais is a Computational Biologist. He has a bachelor's degree in Technological Physics Engineering and a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences, having spent a decade of international research at the universities of Cambridge and Toronto. He leads the research laboratory in Disease Transcriptomics at the Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine (GIMM) and, as a Guest Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, teaches Bioinformatics for Masters in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Research and Oncobiology. It seeks to contribute to greater reproducibility of scientific practice, through the promotion of interdisciplinary research, quantitative training of biomedical scientists and critical thinking in the analysis of large molecular and clinical data.
