Researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI) of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Visiting Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the same university, where she teaches Asian Studies and the History of International Relations. She was President of the Portuguese Political Science Association from 2012 to 2016 and a consultant to the Board of Directors of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation from 2020 to 2022. She is currently resident international politics analyst at SIC Notícias.
