Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, Portugal. He is also a researcher at CEF.UP and an associate of OBEGEF. His research interests relate to: corporate social responsibility (CSR)/corporate sustainability (CS) and corresponding reporting; corporate corruption; corporate tax behaviour; financial and non-financial accounting and reporting; accounting and the public interest. He teaches subjects in the areas of accounting and CSR/SE and the corresponding reporting. His research has been published in various journals, including: Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Accounting Forum, British Accounting Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Cleaner Production and Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal. In 2021, he published a book with Springer entitled ‘Corporate Social Responsibility, the Fight Against Corruption and Tax Behaviour’.
