Luís Verde de Sousa is a visiting assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a lawyer who carries out his academic research and legal practice in the area of administrative law, with a particular focus on the formation and execution of public contracts. He has a master's degree in legal-political sciences, having published his thesis on negotiation in award procedures, and is the author of several publications in the field. He is a member of the list of arbitrators of CAAD - Administrative Arbitration Centre, the National Construction Arbitration Centre and the ACIF-CCIM Arbitration Centre. He has participated as counsel in several arbitrations and acted as arbitrator in various cases concerning the execution of public contracts. He has also lectured on postgraduate courses in public procurement organised by Portuguese and foreign educational institutions, provided training to public and private entities, as well as taking part in various colloquiums and conferences on the subject. He is a founding member of the Revista de Direito Administrativo and its current Director, as well as Chairman of the Justice Council of the Portuguese Football Federation.
