André is a Medical Doctor and a Public Health Specialist, with eight years of professional experience in the area of Public Health, Health Policy and Epidemiology. He has worked for International organizations such as the WHO - World Health Organization - and the European Commission, as well as National Governments and Local Health Organizations. During his public health training academically, André received education from the Harvard Medical School in epidemiology and quantitative research. His career and interest have been moving towards a global health focus, primarily studying the impact of health policies. André has consulted in the past for private individuals, national and international organizations on research, project evaluation and policy analysis. He was also the Director of the Services and Analysis Directorate at the General Directorate of Health (2020-2021).
