Denise Henriques

Researcher at CIES-IUL/ISCTE-IUL and ICNOVA-Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL), specialized in Placebrand Policies for Countries, Regions and Cities, connecting this policies to Corporate Brands aiming Socio-Economic and Sustainable Growth. She developed, along with AICEP, The Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal, the new Strategic Plan for Brand Portugal Country Brand. She is the author of the book Marca Portugal: Políticas e Atores, published by ISCTE, with the support of IAPMEI-The Portuguese Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, besides other scientific publications and internacional communications. She developed and lectured the first Course on Place Branding Policies and Strategic Communication, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and was also a Member of the Scientific Committee of the 3rd Iberoamerican Placebranding Conference and of the Jury of the 1st Placebranding Prize. She was Manager of the Universities Portugal Program, for the Internationalization of Portuguese Public Universities based in Lisbon, financed by European Founds of COMPETE P2030. She was a Member of the Internationalization Council of ISCTE; Member of the Study in Portugal Network, of the Luso-American Development Foundation; and a co-founding member of Movimento Marcas por Portugal. She has a doctorate and master's degree in Public Policy, from ISCTE, and a degree in Social and Cultural Communication, from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
