Ana Isabel Lopes

Associate Professor (with aggregation) at Iscte. She has a PhD in Management, specialising in Accounting.  She has experience directing undergraduate, postgraduate and master's programmes and actively collaborates in executive training at Iscte Executive Education. She is currently Director of the Master's programme in Accounting and Management Control (Iscte Business School) and the PG in Applied Accounting and Finance (Iscte Executive Education). 

Her experience in higher education covers the areas of accounting and financial and non-financial reporting, with the application of national and international standards relevant to the area. In his career in higher education since 1993, he has taught at NOVA SBE, ULHT-ECEO and IPG-ESTG, while also holding a number of academic management positions. She was president of a regional section of APOTEC. Her teaching experience also extends to the professional field, where she has participated as a guest trainer in professional organisations (OCC and OROC) on subjects related to financial accounting and sustainability reporting.

She is also a researcher at BRU-ISCTE and a member of the Board of the Grudis - Accounting Research Network. She is the author and coordinator of the book ‘Fundamentals of Financial Accounting: theory and cases’ and regularly publishes scientific articles in leading international journals such as the Australian Journal of Management, Accounting Education, European Business Review and Meditari Accountancy Research, among others. She participates actively and frequently in national and international conferences.
