Degree in Environmental Engineering (Instituto Superior Técnico), a MSc and PhD in Industrial Ecology (IST), and further training at Yale University - Centre for Industrial Ecology. She was Assistant to the Minister of the Environment for the Circular Economy (2016-2019) and then Secretary of State for the Environment (2019-2022). She has more than 20 years' professional experience in sustainability and the circular economy, and has authored and co-authored scientific articles and technical books in the field of innovation, waste management, industrial ecology and industrial symbioses. She currently works as a sustainability consultant.
