Rita Rendeiro

Rita leads CCSL Advogados Finance, Compliance and Sustainability practice, drawing upon her experience advising clients in connection with banking and finance matters, capital markets transactions and financial intermediation and asset management issues. Her insight from both regulatory and in-house experiences allows her to provide guidance to clients in connection with financial regulation, compliance, and sustainability challenges. 

Rita worked at leading law firms both in Portugal and in London, and she was also a legal adviser at the Issuer’s Department of the Portuguese Securities Commission (CMVM) and held management positions at international banks, including as Head of Legal of Deutsche Bank and Head of Legal, Compliance and AML at Abanca Portugal. She is also a Certified ESG Analyst by EFFAS (CESGA), and was part of the founding team at a private equity firm dedicated to impact investments. She regularly advises clients in connection with financing and investment arrangements, including regulatory and compliance issues involving governance, money-laundering and regulatory compliance, as well as ESG related aspects. She works closely with investment companies, asset managers and other financial players in projects involving these matters. Rita is a regular contributor to articles published in connection with financial and ESG regulation.
