Luís Ribeiro da Silva

Luís Ribeiro da Silva was born in 1967 and enrolled in the Naval Academy in 1986, studying Naval Engineering with a specialization in Mechanics. He holds a degree in Naval Military Sciences. In 2024, he decided to transfer to the Reserve.

Throughout his career, he had several boarding commissions and performed various functions in the Technical Management Body (Ship Management and Infrastructure Management). For six years, he was Coordinator of Training and Evaluation of Surface Naval Units in Portugal and the United Kingdom, having completed two missions in Angola within the scope of Technical-Military Cooperation.

Luis attended courses in Industrial Safety, Fire Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems, and Implementation of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems. He has been a Senior Technician in Occupational Safety and Health since 2002. In 2017, he completed the General Management Program (Executives) at the Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics. He is a full member of the Order of Engineers.

Speaker in several national and international seminars and conferences. His record of service includes several commendations and awards.

Lecturer in the postgraduate course “Empowerment: making things happen in business & life” since its first edition in 2023.
