An Approach to Business Models in the Digital Era_

Economy is becoming more based on mobility. Organizations need, more than ever, to grow the best practices and manage flows. To think and take action regarding operations management. Take a close look at the way Amazon, Walmart, Coca-Cola and Apple are growing. Take a close look at the outsourcing and centralisation effects and how they impact the supply chain's growth. Take a close look at stocks and installed capacity, at treasuries belonging to organizations that want to grow in the logistics field. Everything is changing. Failing to understand this "uberized" economy and avoiding to keep a permanent debate between stick to the core and go for more may be a mistake for any organization, either if they are focused on products and parts or on people and service management. Organizations who fail to adapt their strategy to this new business context, a context in which digital transformation has an important role, will lose a spot in the logistics forefront. This spot will be taken by those who are able to adapt and reposition themselves in this field. This program is suitable for professionals in every working field, public or private, from health to telcos, retail to logistics operators, industry to primary sector. Join us and create a difference.

Testimonials_

The postgraduate course in logistics has had an impact on my career and, by the way, even after these 6 months and the consolidation of the 12 years I had, I already had logistics and was able to apply some course materials. This immersive weekend I hope to complete successfully and it's been challenging and all in all a good experience.

It's been a very enriching course because I'm getting a better understanding of what the current demands are in terms of Supply Chain Management and Logistics. The opportunity we've been given to get in touch with real companies and see how this process is carried out in practice has been very enriching. This immersive weekend has been extremely positive, in that we've been able to combine what we've learnt in class with what real life is like in companies linked to this sector. I almost feel like saying that now I'm ready to take the course again, which in itself shows that it's been an extremely enriching and appealing course.

In an increasingly globalised and ever-changing world, it is important for us as professionals to keep abreast of these changes and proactively be a driver of this change. After 18 years of experience in the product processing industry, it was time to embrace new challenges "in the world of logistics operations" and with it, a paradigm shift in my professional activity. In this programme I sought to acquire new knowledge, consolidate others already acquired, share experiences and hear "in person" new perspectives from experienced professionals. Iscte Executive Education's Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management has excellent, highly qualified professionals on its teaching staff who, throughout the programme, shared practical and theoretical concepts of trends in the sector, as well as a "state of the art" view of the different dimensions linked to logistics and the supply chain. The immersive weekend was the culmination of several months' work, allowing us to put all the knowledge we've acquired to the test in a real-life context, in a practical and collaborative way. The path I have travelled over the last six months will certainly have a positive impact on my career, allowing me to apply the knowledge I have acquired more effectively and objectively. The fact that this postgraduate course has different professionals from the sector who, like me, have sought to broaden their range of skills, has allowed me to develop valuable networking during this short and intense academic journey. That said, I recommend this Postgraduate Programme to all professionals in the field who want to deepen their knowledge and experience in the area of logistics operations.

My experience as a student in the Post-Graduate course in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Iscte Executive Education was focused around interacting with some realities faced in the corporate logistics field, as well as understanding how everything works and applying it to real cases. I also highlight the connection built between faculty, peers and staff, which made me feel like I was in a true family environment. We also experienced a Intensive Challenge Weekend, exclusively dedicated to the challenges that the Logistics area faces in the field, with the presence of an experienced Logistics Operator from Santos & Vale, where we could apply all the acquired knowledge to corporate practices. For those who are interested in learning more about this area, Iscte should be the place to start.

The Applied Online Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management ended in an Intensive Challenge Weekend where we had to work in different challenges in the logistics field, which we believe that will add a lot to new professional paths. Being enrolled in an online course , the fact that we managed to gather around after 6 months and get to know each other personally allowed us to create even more value together.

The Applied Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is undoubtedly an asset to my day-to-day life as a Logistics Data Specialist at Solvay, since it contributes largely to provide me with basic tools and concepts in the area of Logistics. With an excellent teaching staff, the classes are oriented towards transmitting and maximizing knowledge and current techniques of direct use in logistics and supply chain activities. This training, due to its very high quality, is, and will be, a unique contribution in my professional career and therefore I recommend it to all professionals in the sector.

The program makes a transversal approach to very relevant matters in the logistics area, from the strategic plan to the operational plan, incorporating the most recent management currents, for the logistics area, with a focus on improving operational results through the development of core competencies. The relevance is all the more significant in the current pandemic context, which acts as an accelerator for the paradigm shift, being critical for companies to (re)adjust their business model.
