An Approach to Business Models in the Digital Era_

Economy is becoming more based on mobility. Organizations need, more than ever, to grow the best practices and manage flows. To think and take action regarding operations management. Take a close look at the way Amazon, Walmart, Coca-Cola and Apple are growing. Take a close look at the outsourcing and centralisation effects and how they impact the supply chain's growth. Take a close look at stocks and installed capacity, at treasuries belonging to organizations that want to grow in the logistics field. Everything is changing. Failing to understand this "uberized" economy and avoiding to keep a permanent debate between stick to the core and go for more may be a mistake for any organization, either if they are focused on products and parts or on people and service management. Organizations who fail to adapt their strategy to this new business context, a context in which digital transformation has an important role, will lose a spot in the logistics forefront. This spot will be taken by those who are able to adapt and reposition themselves in this field. This program is suitable for professionals in every working field, public or private, from health to telcos, retail to logistics operators, industry to primary sector. Join us and create a difference.

Testimonials_

I looked for a program that would connect directly with the areas where I already had some experience in logistics. I started with fairly moderate expectations, mainly because the course was online, but what we quickly discovered is that we were able to interact in a very fluid way. We managed to communicate easily within a group of 40 people. And the immersive weekend ended up solidifying all the connections we had already been building. It was quite intense, but very interesting.

This course gave me a strong practical foundation, which was exactly what I was looking for, and this weekend was a perfect example of that. It was an immersive experience that allowed us to gain first-hand insight into the reality of how companies operate. I would also highlight the quality of the faculty, who strike an excellent balance between theoretical concepts and real-world business cases. Equally valuable was the opportunity to exchange experiences and perspectives with the other participants. For someone like me, who is already in the job market, this programme provides an excellent opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in day-to-day work and create real value for organisations.

Hello, I’m part of the delivery team and interact frequently with logistics, so I felt I needed a stronger theoretical foundation to complement what I already do in my daily work. Right now, I’m in the immersive weekend, and we’re doing exactly what I hoped for when I enrolled: working on a real company challenge. We’re applying everything we’ve learned, and it has been incredibly interesting.

I chose this postgraduate program at Iscte Executive Education because I believe it can give me valuable tools and know‑how to improve the way I work. It will help me perform my tasks more accurately, more reliably, and more dynamically, allowing me to free up time for other activities and enhance our system from a logistical perspective. In the company where I work, this final stage — our immersive weekend — has been especially rewarding. I’m really enjoying presenting new solutions, proposing improvements to our operations, and trying to ensure that the company can benefit even more from the changes we aim to implement here.

With around 10 years of experience in logistics, I enrolled in the Postgraduate Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at ISCTE Executive Education to update my knowledge and develop new skills. The program has been a highly rewarding experience, combining strong academic foundations with a practical approach to today's logistics and supply chain challenges. The business case and company visit represent the highlight of the program, providing the opportunity to apply what we have learned in a real-world environment and develop solutions with tangible impact. I would highly recommend this program to professionals looking to advance their expertise in logistics and supply chain management.

This postgraduate program has been a key milestone in my professional development. It has allowed me to strengthen my knowledge, develop new skills, and acquire practical tools that I can apply in my day-to-day work. This weekend has been a fantastic experience. Beyond the learning itself, it has provided an excellent opportunity to build a strong professional network with people from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. I come from the healthcare sector, but I have learned a great deal from colleagues working in other fields, and that exchange of perspectives has been incredibly valuable. The business case we are working on allows us to put into practice everything we have learned throughout the program, making the experience both dynamic and closely connected to real business challenges. After spending so many months seeing each other only through Zoom, it has been especially rewarding to finally meet in person, collaborate as a team, and share experiences face to face. I would highly recommend this postgraduate program to anyone looking to develop their skills, learn from experienced professionals, and expand their professional network. I am confident it will be as rewarding for future participants as it has been for me.

I have been working in the Supply Chain and Logistics area since 2010, but my basic training is not linked to this area. I felt the need to cement my knowledge, organizing it, disciplining it from an academic point of view. I chose Iscte and specifically this course for several reasons: the panel of teachers, full of professionals with experience both in academia and in various companies; the curricular units, with core themes of supply chain knowledge but also with units that aroused my curiosity, such as, for example, AI in Supply Chain; This last point was also one of the reasons why I chose the course: to continue updating myself with the latest knowledge in the Supply Chain area and, if possible, predict the future; then, a fundamental component for me, the fact of being able to take classes remotely, being able to have flexibility due to the fact that I live abroad and have to travel frequently.

The postgraduate course in logistics has had an impact on my career and, by the way, even after these 6 months and the consolidation of the 12 years I had, I already had logistics and was able to apply some course materials. This immersive weekend I hope to complete successfully and it's been challenging and all in all a good experience.

It's been a very enriching course because I'm getting a better understanding of what the current demands are in terms of Supply Chain Management and Logistics. The opportunity we've been given to get in touch with real companies and see how this process is carried out in practice has been very enriching. This immersive weekend has been extremely positive, in that we've been able to combine what we've learnt in class with what real life is like in companies linked to this sector. I almost feel like saying that now I'm ready to take the course again, which in itself shows that it's been an extremely enriching and appealing course.

My experience in the Postgraduate Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Iscte Executive Education gave me valuable insight into the operations of large-scale logistics companies and a deeper understanding of how logistics works in practice. One of the program's greatest strengths was the supportive and collaborative environment created by the faculty, classmates, and staff, making the learning experience both enjoyable and rewarding. The immersive weekend, developed in partnership with Santos & Vale, was the perfect conclusion to the program, allowing us to apply the knowledge gained throughout the course to real-world logistics challenges. The Applied Online Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management ended in an Intensive Challenge Weekend where we had to work in different challenges in the logistics field, which we believe that will add a lot to new professional paths. Being enrolled in an online course , the fact that we managed to gather around after 6 months and get to know each other personally allowed us to create even more value together.

The program makes a transversal approach to very relevant matters in the logistics area, from the strategic plan to the operational plan, incorporating the most recent management currents, for the logistics area, with a focus on improving operational results through the development of core competencies.
