Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unidades Locais de Saúde de Entre Douro e Vouga, EPE, a National Health Service entity responsible for managing four hospitals and 62 primary healthcare units in a region with a population of around 350,000.
Graduated in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto in 1995. Completed various postgraduate courses in Health Services and Units Management at renowned Portuguese universities. He completed the 2018/2019 National Defense Auditors Course at the National Defense Institute. In 2024, he completed the AESE Senior Management Program. He is a guest lecturer on the postgraduate courses at the Portuguese Red Cross North Health School, teaching the Health Economics module.
