Carlos Manuel Pinheiro

Associate Professor with Aggregation in Management at Universidade Europeia and a Visiting Adjunct Professor at ISCAL, in the area of Social Sciences, specializing in Finance.

He holds a PhD in Finance from ISCTE-Business School, where he graduated with the highest grade, combining a solid academic career with over 30 years of management experience in the banking sector. In the field of teaching, he lectures in Finance at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, leading several courses, and regularly provides training in his area of expertise.

Among other positions, he has served as Deputy Director of the Master's Degree in Financial Analysis (ISCAL) and Director of the Master's Degree in Business Management (online) at Universidade Europeia, where he currently directs the Executive MBA (online).

As a researcher at ISCTE's Business Research Unit (BRU) and CETRAD, he has published articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals and actively participates in international conferences, where he presents his work and coordinates sessions. He is co-author of the book “Derivatives and Other Financial Instruments,” acts as a reviewer for several academic publications, and has coordinated scientific research projects as principal investigator. Supervising master's and doctoral students and serving on public examination boards, his main areas of research cover international financial institutions and markets, governance, and behavioral finance.
