Maria Catarina Estevés das Pazes

She is a specialist nurse in Palliative Care at the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA, EPE) and an Invited Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja.

She holds a Master’s degree in Palliative Care from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Porto. She has extensive experience in education and training, clinical placement supervision, and research in Palliative Care.

She is a reviewer for the Portuguese Journal of Palliative Care and President of the Portuguese Association for Palliative Care, having served two terms: 2021–2023 and 2024–2026.
