She was the President of COTEC and the High Council of the Portuguese Association of Family Enterprises, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Minho and the Board of Directors of CEIIA. Recognized with several distinctions and awards, she was considered one of the most powerful businesswomen in Portugal by Forbes magazine. She studied in Canada and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Manchester (England).
