Cátia Sousa Pinto

Cátia Sousa Pinto is a medical doctor and public health specialist graduated from University of Lisbon and National School of Public Health, Portugal. She did post-graduation courses in Statistics, Epidemiology and Public Health Surveillance and Information Systems in Harvard University, Universitá Cattolica di Sacro Cuore and University of Edinburgh. Cátia is also a practicing public health doctor, designated Local Health Authority in ACES LouresOdivelas Primary Healthcare Centers in Portugal. Cátia worked as the Head of Epidemiology and Surveillance Division, Directorate-General of
Health in Portugal from 2012 to 2018. Cátia was also the national representative in ECDC and WHO for infectious diseases, mortality information and International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health
Problems (ICD) revision and coding. Since 2018 works as in the Advanced Analytics and Intelligence Unit of SPMS, EPE working on the Secondary use of data planning and strategic development, and Applied research projects using real world data and Artificial Intelligence Development in the Portuguese NHS.
