Luís Correia da Silva
Luís Correia da Silva has a Degree in Agronomy by Instituto Superior de Agronomia / UTL, a Master Degree in Economics and a Post-Graduation in International Trade by École de Commerce Solvay/Universidade Livre de Bruxelas (Belgium). Luís Correia da Silva is currently Chief Executive Officer of Dom Pedro Golf SA and Executive Board Director of Dom Pedro Hotels & Resorts.
With a long established career in tourism, he was Vice-President for ICEP, between 1992 and 1995, then in charge of Portugal’s international promotional program. As the representative of Portugal at ETC-European Travel Commission, Luis Correia da Silva was elected Chairman of its Planning Commission.Between 1996 and 2003, was Executive Board Director of Lusotur, S.A. (the company responsible for the management and development of Vilamoura resort in Algarve) and the AndréJordan Group.
From May 2003 until July 2004, Luis Correia da Silva was appointed Secretary of State for Tourism for the Portugal XVI Constitutional Government. Between 2005 and 2011 served as International Advisor for the WTTC-World Travel &Tourism Council Executive President. Since 2005 Luis Correia da Silva is also a Partner / Managing Director for TT-THINKTUR, a strategic consultancy company specialized in Hospitality and Tourism.
