Carlos Sousa
Managing Director with responsibilities across all ICT infrastructure, assets, service management, clinical IT projects, processes and resources at Hospital Cruz Vermelha care delivery organization. Graduated in Informatics and also Post-Graduate in Information Systems for Health from the Catholic University. He is skilled with multidisciplinary teams and loves to face the challenges of health IT, enabling clinicians to build pathways and measure the adoption of electronic medical records. He has been working in Health Informatics area since 1995, not only at HFF (where he started), but also at the Lisbon IPO and at the Santarém District Hospital. He also has 10 years of experience in other sectors as a consultant and systems integrator at UNISYS (in the Teleco and Banking Sector) and at Siemens Healthcare, where he was a product manager for clinical solutions. He is currently co-founder and member of the board of the Association Chapter HL7 Portugal and invited professor for the Postgraduate Course in Health Management, at ESSCVP.
